SO, Sam is the new kitchen manager at The Columbine Cafe. He is also the new manager of the food and beverage department at Ski Cooper and of Golden Rose Catering. Yippie!! Scott, Steph,(of scott and stephs columbine cafe) Sam and I sat down the other night and figured out everyones jobs. Here is the deal....Scotts uncle, Harry owns the food and beverage dept at ski cooper in the winter and in the summer he has his own catering company. This year he decided to retire. Scott is taking it over...nice business opportunity. So, I am the new general manager of The Columbine and I am the human resources dept for all three businesses. I got a raise!!!! It is a great deal for all of us. Steph and I have also discussed possibly me buying into the Columbine at the beginning of the year...using this summer for all parties to get out of some personal and business debt. We will see. We are looking for a new home for the restaurant...a nicer spot. Whatever happens it is all good and Sam is so happy to have a constant job now. Today was our first day working together. It was fun. I was the only waitress on and got my butt kicked!!! It was a busy day!!!!!!!!! I was a bit nervous about the two of us working together, just because of past stuff. You know, him and the x always worked like this...But I have moved past it now. New times, new situation, new relationship. In the winter he will be at Cooper the whole time anyways.
I also started a Core workout class this week. I'm digging it so far. My abs burn, so I think that is a good sign that it works.
